Free Car Oil Change for Single Mother's 

Every Fall, we host a free car oil change for single mother's. This year, we were able to assist over 20 women! We had both an oil change team and welcome team that the women could spend time with while their cars were being worked on.

Trunk N' Treat

Every October, Sparta Church hosts our Trunk N' Treat event for our community! It is a special event where families can spend a fun filled day with their children in our very own parking lot. The event consists of amazingly decorated car trunks, a lot of candy, and a great time of community! 

Upward Basketball & Cheerleading

Upward Sports is an organized recreational league focused on developing young athletes mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially. Over the course of the program, players will develop individually, teams will grow together, and strong relationships will be formed during weekly practices and games. Emphasis is placed on learning new skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

Spreading Joy

Each year during the Christmas season, Sparta Church spreads joy in our local nursing homes and shut ins. We spend the afternoon singing Christmas carols and spend time with the residents as we spread some Christmas cheer!

Christmas Festival

Each year, Sparta Church hosts an annual Christmas Festival for our community! Our Christmas Festival consisted of our favorite Christmas characters, a live nativity scene, gingerbread house decorating, indoor snowball fights and more!

Worship at the Chelsea

We are blessed with the opportunity to serve our local Chelsea Senior Living Center in many different ways! One of our favorite ways to spread the love of Christ with the residents is worshipping the Lord with them. 

Egg Hunt

We look forward to our Egg Hunt every year! It is the perfect event to kick off the warm weather that is right around the corner. This event consists of our egg hunt, a hayride that tells the story of Easter, a meet and greet station with bunnies and chicks, crafts, games AND there is always a surprise!

Global Impact

West Virginia Missions

LEARN MORE ABOUT WV MISSIONS
Every summer, Sparta Church takes a week long mission trip to Webster Springs, West Virginia to serve the people of the community. Located in the valley of the mountains, is the little town of Webster Springs.
 Each year, we do mission work including sports camps for children, construction projects for families in the area, outreach at the local children's shelter, and host an annual picnic with food, games, and fun for the community to enjoy!

2023 Trip Summary
The Lord was working and moving and many lives were changed through the hands and feet of Jesus.
Multiple construction projects were completed, houses without hot water were fixed, the local motel got a makeover with new painted doors and motel sign,
children at basketball and soccer came to Christ, and our picnic was an amazing time spent with the community! Thank you for all of your prayers for the team and the mission trip.

Operation Christmas Child

Each year, Sparta Church participates with Samaritan's Purse to assist with collection and packing of Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.
In the Fall of 2020, we introduced a new way to participate in the Operation Christmas Child Mission.  Sponsor a Shoebox, You Donate - We Pack!

The Sudan Project

DONATE TO THE SUDAN PROJECT THIS SEASON
This Christmas season, our Sudan Project challenge is to match dollar for dollar total moneys spent on Christmas gifts for the family or donate what you can to provide families living in South Sudan with food and clean drinking water.

Samaritan’s Purse is providing emergency food and clean water for people in South Sudan who have been internally displaced by an ongoing conflict within the country, and we continue to provide emergency aid to refugees who have fled violence in the Nuba Mountains and other parts of Sudan. Additional projects include drilling wells to provide clean water, distributing food to fight hunger and malnutrition, providing medical care for the sick and suffering, and working through the local church to build up communities through education and biblical literacy.

Each year at Christmas time, we collect funds to help people in South Sudan who are in need. Your generosity helps provides meals for more than 300,000 hungry and displaced people each month. This is a 24/7 operation, and Samaritan's Purse is one of very few organizations on the ground in South Sudan.
