How it all started...
Our church has come a long way since our first meeting on Sunday, September 18, 1994. Along the way the church has grown from a group of 40 people meeting in a home to lay the foundation for a new church to meeting at the Sparta Ambulance Building during the first year. We then moved into the Helen Morgan School in September 1995, and the installation service for Pastor Doug Thuen was held the next month.

Expanding the vision...
Where we are headed...
God provided a wonderful piece of property in a great location to construct a new church building to handle the growing congregation and expanding ministries. That property was purchased in June of 2000, and the cornerstone service for the new building was held in Fall 2005. As the new church building continues to expand on the property, we strive to remain faithful to God's word and "shine our light."
Over the past 25 years, our focus has remained constant: to bring the family closer to God and to be the "hands and feet" of Jesus in serving the needs of our community, nation, and world. The last direction that Jesus gave to his disciples before ascending into Heaven were "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20) Those words of Jesus are as relevant today as they were over two-thousand years ago, and are the directions we've followed since our first meeting.
