Who We Are
Upward Sports is an organized recreational league focused on developing young athletes mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially. Over the course of the program, players will develop individually, teams will grow together, and strong relationships will be formed during weekly practices and games. Emphasis is placed on learning new skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Every player gets time on the court on game day. In Upward Cheerleading, cheers, chants, and pom routines are taught that provide excitement and energy on game day.

PRACTICE: If the weather gets bad during the day, a decision will be made by 3:00pm, sent through our text update system, and posted on our Facebook page.
GAME DAY: If bad weather is predicted for a Saturday, we will make a decision the night before and send it through our text update system.

Parents are responsible for signing up for text updates, checking the Facebook page, and/or calling the church office as coaches may not be able to reach out to the team in advance.

As a parent, you play a very important role in building the self-esteem and character of your child and every child in this league. Players look to their parents, coaches, and referees as models for sportsmanship, respect for authority, and positive attitudes. Make those winning (and sometimes losing) moments count!
