Dear Church family,
Advent, the time of year where we reflect  on Jesus first coming and eagerly await His second coming, began last week. In the worship service each week, we will reflect on hope, peace,  joy, and love.  waiting for ourBelow are a few ways Sparta Church is taking time to celebrate the hope we have in Christ this Christmas:

1. Our Christmas Festival  (Saturday 12/13, 3-5pm) is a fun-filled afternoon for kids ages 0-12 years old and their families where we celebrate the gift of Jesus! Decorate cookies, make crafts, listen to the Christmas Story and enjoy an indoor snowball fight.  Best of all, this is an event for our whole community, so please invite your friends and family to come with you!  
This event is free and we will be collecting items for the Sparta Community Food Pantry.

2. Everyone is invited to help us   Spreading Joy (Sunday 12/14 12:30-4pm) to our neighbors! After 2nd service, we will gather for a light lunch in the Worship Center. Then,  we will break into teams and carpool to go caroling at  different assistant living facilities.  This event is perfect for individuals of all ages.

3.  Join us for one of our Candlelight Christmas Eve Services (12/24,  4:30 & 6:30 pm). This is family service, so children are invited to join their families in the Worship Center.  The Family Room will be available for anyone whose kids need a more flexible arrangement.

On Sunday morning, we will be sharing more about our annual Sudan Project. Please prayerfully consider how the Lord would lead you and your family to serve others this Christmas season.
