How it all started...
Our church has come a long way since our first meeting on Sunday, September 18, 1994. We began with a small group of families meeting in a home and then in the Sparta Ambulance Building. Pastor Doug Thuen accepted the call to be our senior pastor in July 1995. In September 1995, we moved into the Helen Morgan Elementary School in Sparta.

Expanding the vision...
Five years later, God provided a wonderful piece of property at an amazing price in a great location along Route 15. The church purchased this property in June 2000, and the cornerstone service for our new building, which was envisioned to handle the needs of the growing congregation and expanding ministries, was held in the fall of 2005.
Where we are headed...
Over the past 29 years, our focus has remained constant: to bring people closer to God and to be the “hands and feet of Jesus” in serving the needs of our community, nation, and world. As we construct the Phase 2 addition of our building to continue to expand our reach, we will always strive to remain faithful to Jesus’ mandate to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20a).
