We are excited to launch this year’s annual Sparta Church Golf Classic, by Sparta Youth and proudly sponsored by TRS!
This event has been a much-enjoyed day for our community over the years, and we were thrilled to bring it back last year and to invite you to join us again this year!
This year, we are raising funds to build a brand new space for youth in Sussex County.
Over the last several years, we have seen a decline in third spaces in many communities, and statistics show how this has significantly affected this next generation, leading to isolation and a surge in mental health struggles in teens. At Sparta Youth we are committed to creating a safe and healthy environment for youth in Sussex County to find community and support, and this new space will serve hundreds of our community’s youth on a weekly basis. Your support at this event will invest significantly in the Youth of our community for many years to come! Thank you for your generous partnership in this goal!

Community Partner Highlight
The Market Street Mission is an experienced organization with a proven method of helping to fight alcoholism, drug abuse, hunger, and homelessness throughout New Jersey, serving our community each day thanks to the compassion and generosity of friends like Sparta EFC. Thank you for faithfully joining with us to bring hope and healing to our neighbors in need in Jesus’ name!
Along with our regular services like meals, shelter, and addiction recovery, 2025 brought some exciting updates. In July, we welcomed the Good Shepherd Mission in Paterson into our Market Street family, now operating as the Market Street Mission – Good Shepherd! We are grateful for this opportunity to expand our services into Paterson to care for even more people in need.
We also welcomed Gordon Dahl as the Mission’s new CEO! You may know Gordon as our Retail Director, leading our Thrift Stores for the past seven years – but his impact has extended beyond the walls of the stores into the larger ministry of Market Street, and we are grateful for his skilled leadership and servant’s heart as he guides the Mission forward.
On March 29, we celebrated the graduation of 16 men from our Life Change Addiction Recovery Program.
Please pray for these men to stay strong in their faith and sobriety as they discern where God is calling them next!
