Identify reasons that cause someone to compromise their love for the Lord Jesus. 

Read Revelation 2:1-7. Discuss the positives that Jesus acknowledged the church of Ephesus was doing right. Why did He mention these? 

In light of this passage, is it possible to do all the right things for God and yet not love Him? Why/why not? What is the warning Jesus gives to His Church?

How can the Christian life become more mundane than exciting? What are some warning signs that we as believers should look out for so that we don’t lose our first love for Jesus? Which do you struggle with the most?

Identify ways to rekindle your love for someone precious to you (spouse, child, parents, friend). How are these ways similar to pursuing your love for the Lord Jesus?

What can you address or put into practice this week that will increase your love and affection for the Lord Jesus?

In Revelation 2:7, Jesus speaks to those who ‘overcome’ in this world. What is His love promise to them? Do you look forward to that? Why/why not?
