Ephesians 3:14-21

Study Questions:

1.    Read Ephesians 3:14-19. According to this passage, what is the source of our strength in the ‘inner man’? How are we to find God’s strength? What kind of strength? See also: John 7:37-39. Give examples in your life of when/how the Lord by His Spirit strengthened you in a time of need.

2.    Paul could have prayed for anything for the Christians in Ephesus. Identify what was most important for Paul to pray about for them. 

3.    Read Ephesians 3:20-21. How do verses 14-19 help you better understand the context of verses 20-21? Give examples from the Bible of where you see God accomplishing the extraordinary.

4.    What does this passage teach about prayer? How do people misinterpret what it doesn’t teach?

5.    Give evidence of where you experienced God at work in your life this past year?  (*I.e. - Answered prayer, provision, direction, blessings, etc.?)

6.    How does this passage equip you on how to pray and what to pray for particularly in light of the gospel? Is this encouraging or frustrating for you?  Why?

7.    What areas in your life do you struggle with believing God can answer prayer and even exceed your expectations?

8.    Close with prayer for one another that the Holy Spirit will do the extraordinary in your lives and in our church.
