Acts 2:42-47

1. According to Acts 2:42-47, what four practices clearly identified people as being followers of Jesus? Describe how those same practices are seen in your life. Identify and discuss which of the four need to grow in your life. Why?

2. What frustrates you the most about the American Church (in general)? What things do you believe the American Church is currently doing well?

3. Read Luke 14:25-35. What concerned Jesus the most when He was teaching? Is Jesus actually asking us to hate our family? If not, what is he really saying?

4. Do you find it hard to establish solid, mature Christian friendships? Why/why not? What holds you back from engaging in godly relationships and Christian community?

5. We see in this passage (Acts 2:42-47) an uninhibited willingness to share and give to others in need within the church body. How have you been a recipient of this in a local church? What opportunities do you see within your church family where you can invest?

6. In summary, identify ways you see Sparta Church (or, your local church) living out Acts 2:42. How is the Lord Jesus calling you to a new level of biblical fellowship?
