1. Read Proverbs 27:17. How does this principle support our need for godly mentors in our lives?
2. Read the following passages and identify in each one how Paul was an mentor for others: 1 Corinthians 11:1; 2 Timothy 3:10-11; 2 Thessalonians 3:7–9; and Philippians 3:17-18.
3. What role does a spiritual mentor have in the lives of others who follow/learn from them?
4. What are some signs a mentoring relationship is becoming unhealthy?
5. What qualities and characteristics would you consider most important in a spiritual mentor?
6. Do you have someone in your life who you would consider a mentor in the Lord (outside of your pastor and your spouse)? If not, how can you begin to identify someone to mentor you?
7. How can you be an encouragement this week to your spiritual mentor?
