Luke 19:37-40
Study questions:
1. Read Luke 19:37-40. In light of Christ’s ministry, what is happening in this passage? Why were the Pharisees in opposition of the crowds praising God? Why did Jesus answer the way He did to the Pharisees rebuke?
2. Why did Jesus say that if the people stopped worshiping Him the stones would cry out?
3. When is it easiest (and when is it hardest) for you to speak about the Lord? Why?
4. What are some reasons (excuses) Christians use to not speak of the goodness of God/ share the gospel (for example, “I’m just shy.”)?
5. You’ve heard the phrase, “Actions speak louder than words.” When is that true and when is that false? Give examples of ways a person’s life “speaks” of God’s glory?
6. What response do you have to this passage? How can you be more vocal in glorifying God in your life? In sharing the gospel?
