Ephesians 4:17-24
1. Read Ephesians 4:17-24. Identify the characteristics the Apostle Paul gives about the unbelieving Gentiles. Why is this? (See Romans 1:28; 2 Corinthians 4:4.) Give examples of what these qualities look like. How are they manifested in a negative way?
2. According to verses 20-22, what is evident in the life of a true believer in Jesus? What changed? How has your life changed as a result of turning and trusting in Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior?
3. Read verse 23, and then read the following passages: 2 Corinthians 3:18; Titus 3:5.
Determine what is necessary in order for one to be ‘renewed in the spirit of one’s mind’.
4. What responsibility does a believer have in allowing the Holy Spirit to have control of his/her mind?
5. “If salvation is a gift through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9), then why does how I live or ‘walk’ in my daily life really matter?” (See Matthew 7:13-14; 1 John 2:15-17; James 2:18.)
6. What are decisions/behaviors that I need to make or change in order to glorify the Lord Jesus in my daily life? Which truth in v24 gives you the most course correction in your thought process?
