Ephesians 2:1-10

Study Questions 

1.    Read Ephesians 2:1-3. What is our spiritual/eternal condition prior to trusting in the gift of salvation through Jesus? What does it mean that we were ‘dead’? 

2.    What is the evidence that we were spiritually dead? What role does Satan play?

3.    Read Ephesians 2:4-7. What is the attribute of God that motivates Him toward mercy and kindness to lost sinners? What is the significance of the progression in verses 5-7? 

4.    Read Ephesians 4:8-10. Describe grace in your own words. According to this passage, what is necessary for a person to receive the gift of salvation? 

5.    Discuss the difference between working/earning your salvation versus receiving it as a gift. Which one does this passage teach?

6.    Discuss the ‘good works’ that you believe the Lord has put before you to accomplish. What steps can you take this week to follow that conviction?
